Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown presents a check to 101st Precinct Community Council President Glenda Nesmith for Operation Summer Fun as the 101st Precinct commander Deputy Inspector Ken Lindahl looks on. The Rockaway Peninsula program's second fun-packed summer is jointly sponsered by PRYSE (Project for Rockaway Youth in Safety and Education), the Queens District Attorney's Office and the 101st Precinct. The program recently kicked off when members of the District Attorney's Office and other law enforcement personnel took some 150 youngsters on one of the many scheduled trips in the City. Operation Summer Fun gives young people the opportunity to share and exchange ideas with members of the community, the Police Department and the District Attorney's Office in a relaxed atmosphere.
