Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown -- joined by NYPD Chief of Patrol William Morange and Queens Narcotics Commander Inspector Tom Mullin -- discuss a case which involved the seizure of over $1 million in cash and over 5,000 counterfeit trademark high-end watches, pens and sunglasses found in a Flushing house allegedly used to launder money and warehouse counterfeit trademark merchandise. The three residents of the house were charged with money laundering and conspiracy and also face possible trademark counterfeiting charges in the ongoing investigation. (7/10/02) |
