Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown today announced the indictment of sixteen members of a highly sophisticated ring of alleged thieves on charges that they used phony companies to steal nearly $2 million from major computer corporations and then resell the equipment to legitimate retailers at reduced prices. The 140 count Enterprise Corruption indictment also charges them with using the same scheme to defraud a local automobile dealer of over $200,000 worth of luxury cars and to fraudulently obtain government tax refunds of over $25,000.
