The Graphics Unit serves several functions within the Queens District Attorney’s Office. The unit’s prime responsibility is assisting Assistant District Attorneys in the presentation of evidence for the courtroom. This includes layout design, charts, crime scene diagrams, maps, photo layouts, (i.e. autopsy photos, crime scene photos and injury photos), DNA charts and visual media presentations. The Graphics Unit also creates literature and publications relating to the office’s functions such as brochures, reports, booklets and presentations. The Graphics Unit also aids the press office in preparing press related diagrams and organizational charts for press conferences. |
